PlungeBox CORE: Portable Cold Tub

PlungeBox CORE: Portable Cold Tub

Portable Cold Plunge Tub The Cold Plunge That Goes Anywhere. Starting at Just Add Ice. The PlungeBox CORE is a one-person portable cold plunge tub built around a straightforward promise: set it up anywhere, fill it with water and ice, and you're plunging within minutes. No installation. No plumber. No permanent footprint. Whether that's a backyard, a patio, a garage, or a living room, the CORE adapts to wherever you want your cold therapy practice to live. Under the CORE's portable exterior is the same double insulation system PlungeBox calls their Sub-Zero Technology — the same engineering that makes the more expensive tubs hold cold longer. Cold lasts further into your session per ice addition, which means less ice consumed and more consistent temperature from the moment you step in to the moment you step out. The UV-resistant materials mean it holds up to outdoor use without material degradation over time — this isn't a product that survives one season. The CORE is designed for users up to 6'9" and 250 lbs — a range that covers most adults who want a comfortable, spacious immersion rather than a cramped fit. It's the starting point in the PlungeBox lineup: everything you need for a serious cold plunge practice, at the entry price. 6'9" Max Height 250 lb Max Weight UV+ Rated Materials Sub-Zero Technology Four Engineering Priorities Behind the PlungeBox CORE The CORE is built on the same technology platform as the rest of the PlungeBox lineup — insulation, durability, and portability engineered for consistent performance at an accessible entry price. 🧱 Double Insulation System PlungeBox's Sub-Zero Technology isn't a single thick wall — it's two discrete insulating layers working in sequence to resist heat transfer from every direction around the water. The result: cold lasts longer per ice addition, temperature drop is slower through a session, and you use less ice each time. For regular plungers, that's real reduction in ice cost and real improvement in session quality. Double-Layer · Sub-Zero Technology ☀️ UV-Resistant Materials Non-UV-rated materials break down in direct sunlight within a season or two — walls become brittle, colors fade, and insulation performance drops. The CORE is built with UV-resistant materials throughout, designed for permanent or semi-permanent outdoor setup on decks, patios, and grass without material degradation. Set it up outside and leave it out — the materials handle the elements. UV Resistant · Indoor + Outdoor 🎒 Portable by Design Portable isn't just a marketing word for the CORE — it's a practical reality. The tub deflates, packs down, and can be stored when not in use or moved to different locations as your setup evolves. No permanent installation means no commitment to a single location, no structural modifications, and no professional setup required. Add water and ice and you're ready within minutes. No Installation · Instant Setup 📐 Built for Real Users The CORE's dimensions accommodate users up to 6'9" tall and 250 lbs — a range that covers the overwhelming majority of adults. High-quality materials are used throughout for long-term durability under frequent repeated use. This isn't a novelty item or a seasonal purchase — it's a wellness tool built to be part of a consistent practice over the long term. Fits to 6'9" / 250 lbs · High-Quality Build Why Cold Therapy What a Consistent Cold Plunge Practice Delivers Cold water immersion triggers a cascade of physiological responses that accumulate with regular practice. The CORE removes the barrier to entry so those benefits are accessible without a major investment. 💪 Muscle Recovery 🔥 Reduce Inflammation ❤️ Boost Circulation ⚡ Energy & Mood 🧠 Mental Resilience 🌙 Sleep Performance 🎯 Reduce Soreness 🔬 Boost Metabolism Feature Deep-Dives Built to Plunge. Built to Last. Every design decision in the PlungeBox CORE is oriented around the same goal: make cold plunging accessible, repeatable, and worth doing every day. Sub-Zero Technology Your Ice Goes Twice as Far. A thin-walled inflatable tub loses cold quickly — your session starts at target temperature and gradually warms over the first 10–15 minutes as the water absorbs heat from the surrounding air. The CORE's double insulation system changes that dynamic. Two insulating layers work in sequence around the water mass, dramatically slowing heat transfer from every direction. Your cold holds longer per ice addition, stays consistent through the session, and requires less top-up between uses. Double-layer insulation in all wall panels — not a single thick wall Cold lasts longer per ice addition than standard single-wall tubs Consistent temperature throughout sessions rather than warming mid-plunge Less ice required overall — meaningful savings over time for frequent plungers Sub-Zero Technology Double Insulation Less Ice UV-Resistant + Outdoor Ready Leave It Outside. Year-Round. Most inflatable tubs aren't rated for continuous outdoor exposure. Direct sunlight degrades non-UV-rated materials in predictable ways — seam strength weakens, walls become brittle, surface materials crack or fade after a season outdoors. The CORE's UV-resistant construction prevents this degradation, making it suitable for permanent outdoor placement on decks, patios, grass, and garage floors through seasonal changes. Set it up where you want your cold plunge practice to live — not where you're willing to tolerate a fragile piece of equipment. UV-resistant materials throughout — no outdoor degradation over time Suitable for permanent outdoor setup: decks, patios, grass, garages Handles seasonal temperature changes without material stress High-quality construction built for frequent use over the long term UV Resistant Indoor + Outdoor Year-Round Use Instant Setup Add Water. Add Ice. Start Plunging. The CORE requires no tools, no plumber, no power source, and no installation of any kind. Set it up on any flat surface, fill with water, add ice, and you're ready for your first session within minutes. That simplicity is deliberate — the most common reason people don't use their cold plunge gear is because the friction of setup is too high. The CORE keeps that friction as low as it can go. When a session takes more time to prepare than it does to complete, people stop doing sessions. The CORE is designed to not be that product. No installation — no tools, plumber, or permanent footprint required Works indoors and outdoors — deploy wherever makes sense for your routine Deflates and packs down for storage or transport when not in use Ready within minutes — fill, ice, plunge No Installation Minutes to Ready Portable The PlungeBox Lineup Which PlungeBox Is Right for You? What is the PlungeBox CORE and how is it different from other cold plunge tubs? + The PlungeBox CORE is a one-person portable cold plunge tub featuring PlungeBox's Sub-Zero Technology double insulation system and UV-resistant materials. Unlike generic inflatable tubs, the CORE's double insulation maintains cold temperatures significantly longer per ice addition, and its UV-rated construction handles permanent outdoor placement without material degradation. It's designed to be set up anywhere — indoors or outdoors — without installation, and accommodates users up to 6'9" and 250 lbs. How does the double insulation work and how much ice does it save? + The Sub-Zero Technology uses two discrete insulating layers in the tub walls rather than a single thick wall. The dual-layer approach resists heat transfer from multiple angles simultaneously, slowing the rate at which ambient heat enters the water. In practical terms, your water stays at target temperature longer into each session, and you'll need less ice to refresh temperature between sessions. Exact savings depend on ambient temperature and session frequency, but regular plungers consistently report meaningful ice reduction versus standard single-wall tubs. Can I leave it outside year-round? + Yes — the PlungeBox CORE is built with UV-resistant materials specifically for outdoor use. Direct sunlight won't degrade the wall panels or reduce insulation performance over time the way it would with non-UV-rated materials. The CORE handles permanent or semi-permanent outdoor placement on decks, patios, and grass through seasonal changes. For extended periods without use, deflating and storing indoors extends the product's life, but the materials are rated for outdoor exposure without that precaution. What are the dimensions and how much water does it hold? + Full dimensions and water capacity for the PlungeBox CORE are available on the product listing — check the current specifications panel or contact PlungeBox directly for confirmed figures. The tub is designed for one person up to 6'9" (206cm) tall and 250 lbs (113 kg). How do I set it up? + Setup requires no tools or installation. Place the tub on any flat, stable surface — indoors or outdoors. Inflate the walls until firm and rigid, then fill with cold water to your desired depth. Add ice and wait 10–15 minutes for temperature to equalize. That's it — you're ready to plunge. How do I clean and maintain it? + Change the water every two weeks based on use frequency. Between changes, wipe down the interior with a natural cleaning spray, rinse, and dry. No chemical additives are required for basic maintenance. If using the tub outdoors, a cover between sessions reduces debris accumulation and helps retain temperature. How does the CORE compare to the PlungeBox PRO? + The PlungeBox PRO features a hexagonal six-panel design (Sub-Zero Technology applied via flat wall geometry), confirmed dimensions of 32" diameter × 29" tall with 300L capacity, 7 lbs empty weight, and explicit chiller compatibility. The CORE shares the double insulation system and UV-resistant materials but is the entry-level product in the lineup. If chiller compatibility or the hex insulation geometry is important to your setup, the PRO is the right choice. If you want the core performance at the entry price, the CORE delivers the fundamentals. Is the PlungeBox CORE HSA/FSA eligible? + The PlungeBox CORE may qualify for HSA/FSA purchase through Truemed for customers with qualifying medical conditions. Cold water immersion therapy has documented applications in sports medicine, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, and inflammation. Eligible customers typically save 25–35% using pre-tax health dollars. Eligibility is confirmed through Truemed's qualification process at checkout — check the product listing for the current Truemed widget. Can the CORE be used indoors? + Yes — the PlungeBox CORE is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Indoor placement works well in a bathroom, utility room, basement, or any space with drainage accessible nearby. Since the tub requires no permanent installation, it can be set up and broken down as needed without any impact on the space. For regular indoor use, having the drainage hose routed to a floor drain or bathtub makes water management straightforward. document.querySelectorAll('.product-pdp .faq-item button').forEach(btn => { btn.addEventListener("click", () => { const item = btn.closest('.faq-item'); const answer = item.querySelector('.faq-answer'); item.classList.toggle('active'); answer.classList.toggle('open'); }); });
